About

Jen began her career in the photography industry as a freelance photo assistant to some of Toronto’s best commercial and editorial photographers. Working with fashion, food, portrait and architectural photographers, Jen learned how to manage and run a photography studio while being mentored on studio and natural lighting techniques, gear, post-production and interpersonal skills with agencies, publications and other industry professionals.

Jen built her business on weekends while she worked in roles as Studio Manager and Project Manager for various graphic design agencies. Managing and coordinating photo shoots, production of graphic design publications and studio responsibilities, Jen learned more time management and production skills.

In 2016, Jen took her photography business full time as a self-employed owner. She first focused on family photography and adding more portraiture, headshots and business branding photographer as the years went on.

Aligning with companies, entrepreneurs, design agencies and families that are innately supportive and genuinely compassionate about their beliefs and values, Jen help share their stories through a lens that highlights their humanity.

Her approach to photography is centered around storytelling - highlighting the moments you can’t pose, and breathing life into the seemingly mundane. She provided space for people to be themselves in front of a camera - she helps people see the world, not through a social media lens, but a lens of compassion and humanity.

She creates emotionally connected moment driven images with a thoughtful eye and composition.

Jen resides in Toronto with her partner, child and dog and enjoys skatepark rollerskating.

”Relentless compassion is the essence of true connection, so it is through that lens that I approach each photo session.

When we connect truthfully person to person, I see your beautiful humanity, and it is that magnificence that I aim to record.”
