Every image is a decision, what to include, what to leave out, whose perspective is centred.

The same is true of every story we tell about ourselves and the people we lead.

Jen Allison is a Toronto-based keynote speaker, educator, and workshop facilitator who helps organizations shift how they see themselves and what becomes possible when they do.

Her work sits at the intersection of photography, storytelling, and leadership. The lens is both her tool and her metaphor: every image is a decision about what to include, what to leave out, and whose perspective is centred.

Audiences and teams that learn to examine those decisions together don’t just communicate better,
they lead differently.

Jen presented at SXSW EDU and gave her TEDx talk in March 2026. She has worked with educators and community leaders through her facilitation and photography work, teaches at Humber College, and is based in Toronto.

“Jen spoke with warmth, poise and had the room hanging on her every word.”

- Jess Ekstrom, author of Making it Without Losing it

“You will not be lectured to but engaged. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the power of authentic storytelling — and the ability to bring that into your own work.”
